Step One: Consultation
It is critical to the success of the project to clearly understand the scope of the project. To understand it completely WMSI believes that the following questions must be answered prior to moving on to the next step in the project flow.
- What problem/issue has been recognized that has led to requiring this project to be undertaken?
- Who in the company will be the lead contact person and decision maker for the project?
- What are the most difficult aspects of the company culture to overcome to make the project successful?
- What are the short term goals of the project?
- What long term benefits will the project seek to gain?
- Has budgets been set for the project?
- Has a time table been established for completion of the project?
- Who will be responsible for the running or maintaining of the resulting "system, program, website or function" when the project is completed?
